If Daphne loses her chance with the prince she will be upset at him. Simon is told by the woman who raised him she will be upset if he is just spending time with Daphne without planning on proposing. She refuses to let him be with her again. Anthony goes back to the opera singer who he previously had sex many times with. Daphne goes to her candlelit room and tries it out. Daphne seems to have felt those normal sexual urges as shown in the earlier scenes but it is not clear to her what it is all about. He questions you do touch yourself? He then suggests she touch her body where it feels good and keep doing it until she feels a release.
Daphne pleads with Simon to please explain how can physical and intangible go together to make a baby? How does the process work? Mothers don't explain anything to their daughters. The men at the ball don't compare to Simon. Daphne is so good at articulating her words and is a good conversationalist. She loves intellectual hobbies and school. Eloise ponders on what society tells her what she has to do and what she wants to do. Daphne plays the piano and Eloise reads a book. The girls have been trained all their life in the arts to make them attractive for marriage. Later Simon eats with a spoon and Daphne notices it in an arousing way.
The episode opens up with Daphne and Simon dancing at a ball and Simon lightly touches Daphne's shoulders and back.
